Downside Abbey and School invites vintage and classic car and motorcycle owners to a Classic Car Show to be held on 24th June 2018. The event is open to all vintage and classic vehicles up to 1984 but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers as places are limited in each class. Class 1. ***No confirmed 2024 dates yet*** Downside Abbey is holding its Classic Car Show on the sports fields of Downside School in Somerset. A gathering of vintage, classic and interesting vehicles set in the spectacular grounds of Downside Abbey and School. Light lunches, a Hog Roast and afternoon teas will be on sale, and there is free parking for all visitors.Location: Downside School in Radstock Bath

Organiser Information
The Benedictine Community arrived in Stratton-on-the-Fosse in 1814 and set to work building the Downside that exists today. One of their major achievements was the Abbey Church completed in 1938 and now in need of some major restoration. Proceeds from this event will go towards the Abbey Restoration Project, to help preserve this great masterpiece of the Gothic Revival for many future generations.
