The lunch time destination will give crews an opportunity to enjoy the splendid ‘The British Ironwork Centre’ near Oswestry, which has a tea shop/cafe and ample grass areas for picnics. The centre’s main attraction is a collection of ‘steel’ animals and sculptures from the wild and exotic to the charmingly familiar along with some very interesting shops and demonstrations.
Further details on the centre can be found at www.britishironworkcentre.co.uk. On-line entry form on web site.
Weaver Wande have planned a 60 mile navigation run through the Cheshire & Shropshire countryside to the British Iron Work centre near Oswestry. As in previous years, we will be offering a shorter route plan for those who wish to have a rather more leisurely drive to the lunch stop. We will also be able to use the outstanding facilities of Reaseheath College in Nantwich for assembly and registration from 08.30hrs., where breakfasts will be available for purchase. The start will again take place in Nantwich Town Square, where the first car will depart at around 09.30hrs.
