Event Information For ' Rolleston nr Burton Transport Festival'

Date: 01 June 2026-01 June 2026

Times: 10.00 am - 5.00 pm

Car Information

Over 150 classic cars plus camper vans, lorries, steam engines, motorcycles and bicycles will be on display as always on The Croft, Burnside and Rolleston Service Station site, and new for this year also at Rolleston Scout HQ. Weather permitting there will be a Spitfire flypast. Children are well catered for with a children’s entertainer, bouncy castle, rides, fair organ, face painting and all the fun of the fair! Refreshments are available all day with tea and cake in the Old Grammar School, hot food in Rolleston Club and ice cream sold from a vintage van! The festival is organised and run by a dedicated team of volunteers with all proceeds going to charity. Money will also be raised with a prize draw; enter for the opportunity to win a star prize of a 30 minute flight in a Tiger Moth bi-plane or a trip on the footplate of a steamroller and pub lunch. The village will again be holding its Grand Garage Sale Tour where villagers open their garages to sell no longer needed items. Always immensely popular, transport to the sales is by classic bus ride starting from outside the Spread Eagle pub. The bus rides are included with entry to the event; however it is hoped that people will be willing to make a small donation towards the provision of this service. Last year saw a fantastic total of £6000 donated to charity. Come and visit for a great family day out and help continue with this success! The show is open from 10.00am until 5.00pm. Entry costs £4.00 per adult; children are free. This year’s commemorative brochure, fast becoming something of a collector’s item, (available in advance from Starbucks newsagents, Rolleston), packed with feature articles, information about the day and a list of exhibitors costs just £2.00. This year’s beneficiaries are St Giles Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance, St Mary’s Church and Rolleston Almshouses Renovation Appeal. Free parking is available on Elizabeth Avenue playing fields, DE13 9EP. Please do make use of this free service and park considerately as the roads in the locality are likely to be busy. There is wheelchair access to the main event. For further information please visit our Facebook page: ‘Rolleston Transport Festival’ or email: rolleston.transport.festival@talktalk.net
