Please note that only classic vehicles that were first built before 1946 will be admitted into the museum. Owners of these vehicles should pre-book using the form on the event web site. Historic wartime road vehicles will be on show and on the move, mingling with a range of vintage trams which visitors will be able to ride on as often as they like. Some trams will have blackout masks fitted along with anti-blast netting on the windows, blue coloured lamps and white steps. The indicator blinds will be blacked out too so as to confuse any enemy spies. ***No confirmed 2024 dates yet*** Step back in time to 1940s Britain on the Home Front. Visitors can expect air-raid warnings and the sound of low flying aircraft. You will need your identity card for a real tast of life during the Second World War. Take a step back in time to the Second World War era featuring re-enactors, music, activities and vehicles from the era. Step back in time to Britain on the Home Front with re-enactors, live music and vehicles from the early 1940s. Vintage trams will mingle with vehicles on display and on the move. Children can take part in a 'Boot camp' with Sergeant Major Marmite - If they dare! Collect your ration book, and look out for Spivs operating in the street!Location: Crich 8 miles from junction 28 of the M1

Trams run to and fro every few minutes as visitors ride over the cobbles of our period street, past the original facades of historic buildings from the around the country before heading up the valley to views that will take your breath away. Hand over the old penny you are given on entry and you are free to ride the trams all day.
