The museum houses a collection of how Americans lived from the time of the early European settlers to the American Civil War, a collection of wonderful quilts, native American objects and folklore and rooms including a replica C18 tavern with home-cooked gingerbread. There is also a superb garden and of course the house - Claverton Manor. In addition during our visit there is a Special Exhibition on the TITANIC including items from the ship and how it sinking affected the USA.
