All classic vehicles of any type manufactured up to and including 1999. Over 50 classic vehicle clubs also attend. Cars, buses, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and interesting road vehicles of all types. The show has a competitive edge with awards for the best vehicles in each class but also a friendly atmosphere with its family arena entertainment. Classes include: Class A - PSV, Buses and Coaches; Class B -Commercial, Fire appli ances and emergency vehicles; Class C - Motorcycles and Scooters; Class D - Military Vehicles; Class E - American Vehicles; Class F - Kit cars and Special interest; Class G - Cars pre 1931; Class H - Cars 1931 to 1945; Class- J Cars 1946 to 1960; Class K - Cars 1961 to 1970; Class L - Cars 1971 to 1980; Class M - Cars 1981 to 1999. We also award a prize for best club stand. Car and Costume Vehicles with occupant(s) dressed in appropriate costume, with period accessories always welcome.
Luton Festival of Transport is firmly established in the classic vehicle calendar. The show now attracts over 1200 vehicles and hosts a large number of auto-jumble, craft and charity stalls as well as dog show, young children's fair rides, a chance for 11yrs+ to drive a car plus music, food and bar as well as a chance to show off your car in the arena. There will also be coaches to and from the Vauxhall Heritage Centre so you can visit their amazing collection. The event is run entirely by: THE CHILTERN VEHICLE PRESERVATION GROUP and we raise funds for several local charities in the area. Admission to the Festival allows entry to the Mossman Collection of horse drawn vehicles and the Stockwood Discovery Centre.
