Once again we're attempting to improve on past glories such as the truly unique moment when Honor Blackman (Pussy Galore) was reunited with her 'Goldfinger' helicopter after fifty years, a unique piece of history of which all other Airshows are jealous. Honor is not the only Hollywood star to have visited the Airshow; every year the most famous Spitfire of all, MH434, steals the show.

The Military Vehicle Trust ( MVT ) celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 1999. The Military Vehicle Trust has grown into one of the largest military vehicle preservation groups in existence with branches worldwide and a membership of thousands. The Essex Branch of the MVT is based in Chelmsford and has a membership of over a hundred people with over two hundred vehicles ranging from pushbikes, jeeps, lorries, artillery and tanks
