Event Information For ' Le Jog Per Ardua Ad InfinitumTrial'

Date: 05 December 2020-06 December 2020

Car Information:

From a Bentley 4 1/4 to a Ford Stroppe Baja Bronco - see web site for entry list. Leg One - 07:00 - 19:00 The usual early start overlooking the rugged Cornish Coastline sees crews straight into the opening Test around Land’s End. The first cars tackle the cliff route in the dark before making their way to the first Regularity. The route takes crews to a new test venue and on through some of the lesser used back roads of Cornwall and mid Devon with a lunch stop close to Tiverton. Fully fuelled we venture into pastures new through some favourite rally roads of yesteryear in the Devon Somerset borders concluding with a headline venue to tax both driver and navigator before a later than usual halt at Bristol. Leg Two - 21:00 - 03:00 Leg 2 sees crews traversing the Severn crossing and then running up the Wye Valley for the first of three challenging Regularities in the Welsh Marches before a quick break. The action then intensifies with a the sting in the tail 60 mile Time Control section which includes a short break midway for crews to catch their breath. The leg finishes on the outskirts of Shrewsbury with the crews then having a time free run to the Hotel in Chester. Leg Three - 10:00 - 20:00 Fully refreshed after a well earned break, the route see crews tackle three Tests on the run up the M6 to north of Preston where the final leg really gets going. A long regularity across the hills and fells of the area is followed by more tests before a lunch stop on the outskirts of Kirkby Lonsdale. We are truly in the north at this point but there’s more action to follow as darkness will contrive to increase the challenge of the final regularities before crews arrive at the Finish in Carlisle.

About Le Jog Per Ardua Ad InfinitumTrial

Lands End to Carlisle Translated, Per Ardua Ad Infinitum means ‘Through Endless Adversity’ which rather aptly reflects the efforts of the HERO-ERA team in trying to organise and run events in the current situation. Ironically in the circumstances, the event presents an ideal opportunity for those intrigued by LeJog but concerned about the challenges associated with the endurance element, to sample the experience over three legs. Those stalwart LeJog fans however should not take this to mean that participants will have an easy time because all of the core LeJog ingredients and more will be found in the new event. Our route planners have literally gone out of their way to ensure competitors will enjoy an event worthy of its black HERO standard.
