This year there will be over 1,000 exhibits, including: Steam-powered tractors, cars and other vehicles of all shapes and sizes Historic military vehicles Veteran and classic cars and commercial vehicles Classic motorbikes Vintage tractors Vintage fairground organs and other machinery The Main Arena General GoughThe Main Arena is the centrepiece of the event over the two days, with the Grand Parade of Steam Engines, set to nostalgic music and poetry, being the highlight, and parades of all kinds of other vehicles, from historic lorries and classic cars, to heavy horses and even a birds of prey display. Outside the arena the exhibits will be on display if you want a closer look, as well as a range of oil and steam-powered static engines and military vehicles. Onslow Park is situated just outside of Shrewsbury on the A458 Shrewsbury to Welshpool road.
***Shrewsbury Steam Rally 2020 is sadly cancelled*** Shrewsbury Steam Rally is a fantastic two day event that takes place at Onslow Park, Shrewsbury, over August Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. Each year it attracts thousands of people to marvel at the site of steam-powered vehicles of all kinds in action and on static display. If you’ve never experienced the sights, sounds and smells of steam engines in action then this is the place to be.
