Times: 10am - 5pm
Car type all vintage, classic and post classics. This meeting is in support of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs Drive It Day. The Federation encourages owners of all historic vehicles to take to the road on this date and drive, or ride it. The turn out is always excellent and the message is loud and clear; there is a terrific interest in classic and older vehicles. Route is some 80 miles with instructions using both simple 'tulip diagrams' and written instructions. All entrants receive a Route Information book giving interesting facts on places along the route.
The Lancashire Automobile Club will be organising our St Georges Day Run as part of this national event. Our annual St Georges Day Run starts from Cafe Lazio at Huntley's, Samlesbury and sets out in a new direction to the Helwith Bridge Inn for a comfort break before finishing with a light buffet at Blackburn Northern Sports, Pleckgate Drive, Blackburn. The route is just under 100miles and along the way we take in some great roads and beautiful scenery. The event is open to members of the Lancashire Automobile Club and fellow enthusiasts. There are no age constraints on entry, we welcome Vintage, Classic and cherished cars of all ages.
